What Our Residents Are Saying About The Haven

One of the better facilities you will find at that level of care and price. The majority of the staff is capable and conscientious. They do an above average job at meeting the staffing challenges that all these kinds of places face. Food is above average and the facility itself is pretty nice with places to walk, sit and play.  There is a limited-access "memory care" unit that fills most needs in that area. Generally clean, periodic cleaning (like behind furniture) is one area that could use a bit of improvement. If you're looking for a Personal Care Home in the North Hills, you owe it to yourself to give this place a serious look.

Dear Jennifer,

I became familiar with The Haven at North Hills over a year ago.  I have since been coming to the facility a few times every week.  I love coming here because of the staff and the residents.  As soon as I walk in the door I am greeting with a warm smile and a "hello" and it always makes me feel welcome.

The community is beautiful but it is just a building.  It is the people who work here that make it a "home."  The mission at The Haven is to provide optimal care and quality of life.  This is a mission I observe in every aspect of care provided.  Residents are addressed by their names and treated with respect.

Many places say they care but I can see it exemplified each and every time I visit The Haven at North Hills.

Sincerely,

Kathy M, RN

Dear Jennifer,

I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful your staff was during my Aunt Rita’s stay with you. The compassion they exhibited as well as the attention to every detail was amazing. They took such wonderful care of Aunt Rita, and when it came down to the last few days they were as caring and compassionate with the family as they had been with my aunt. I can’t find the words to express our gratitude to all of you.

Your staff helped her to adjust to her new living arrangements easily and quickly. I was amazed to see her walking to meals three times a day as well as attending bingo and being able to go to the chapel for the rosary and to be able to receive communion once a week helped make the adjustment easier. She seemed to be enjoying her new life and enjoyed her table mates at meal time.

Please extend my gratitude to everyone involved for all that was done for Aunt Rita and my family. I would easily recommend The Haven to anyone who asked.

Thank you for the beautiful dish garden you sent to the funeral home. I brought it home with me and every time I look at it I will be reminded of all of you and your kindness.

Sincerely,

Mary Kay Tavitas

"The Haven at North Hills proved to be the ideally suitable accommodations for my personal living needs. I would highly endorse their total caring and professional approach to senior life demands." Sincerely,

The very definition of a Haven is why we love "The Haven of North Hills".   'A place of Safety and refuge' is exactly how we felt with my mother in law living there.

She was comfortable because she felt safe.  It really became a home to her over the last couple of years.  She made great friends and loved being busy with all the wonderful activities they had to offer.   The staff always treated her with compassion and kindness.  She really did get it "all" at The Haven: food, shelter, safety and love.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for a "home" for their loved one!
